Only a Handful of Notable Guests Attend Don Imus' Funeral

Don Imus, the infamous radio host and television personality, passed away in 2019 after a long battle with lung cancer. Peter Yarrow, the composer and guitarist of the 1960s trio Peter, Paul, and Mary, also graced the occasion with his presence. His visit to Imus' funeral stemmed from the breadth of the slain radio show host's numerous interviews featuring the group. Yarrow emphasized, "We'd get wide exposure for our music, not only in the socially conscious community but also with larger audiences. Don Imus was indeed an understanding listener, free from fuss and legalese, for us in particular."
