"We had an incredible run at the Nassau Coliseum," said Connie Smith, an Islander season ticket holder since the 1970s. "The Coliseum was a magical place, and we experienced so many unforgettable moments there."

Former Islanders general manager Garth Snow was also a part of the team during their time at the Nassau Coliseum. "The Coliseum was an incredible place to play and to watch games. The fans were incredibly passionate and dedicated," he said. "It was a unique experience that I'll always cherish."

The Nassau Coliseum hosted the Islanders for over four decades before ownership issues led to the eventual decision to relocate. In 2015, the team made the fateful announcement of moving to the state-of-the-art Barclays Center in Brooklyn.

"It was a tough decision, but we knew it was necessary to bring the team to a new market and to create a more appealing atmosphere for our fans," said John Lucan Fiorrentino, the Islanders' Chief Marketing Officer. "We wanted to provide a more comfortable and exciting experience for our fans, and the Barclays Center has exceeded our expectations in every way."
